Old Electrical Equipment - MK Fused Spur, List No. 6779

MK switched fused connection unit 6779 MK switched fused connection unit 6779 in the OFF position This fused connection unit has a round flex outlet hole, and a fuse carrier secured with a small screw.

It is therefore impossible to replace the fuse without having a screwdriver - possibly of value to stop children / others removing the fuse.

The switch is double pole, switching both line and neutral. Note the ON / OFF legends above and below the switch.

Back Terminals

The other terminals with brass cup washers are for the appliance flex - N top left, L top right, E bottom right.

The flex is clamped under the flat bar which is fixed with two screws.

Fuse and carrier

MK fuseholder and Bussmann fuse from MK swicthed fused connection unit MK fuseholder and Bussmann fuse from MK SFCU The fuseholder has flat blades and is of similar design to earlier MK types, however this one is secured with a small screw.

The front has the oval MK logo and the word FUSED.

The 13 amp Bussmann fuse is a more recent replacement.
