Two different examples, both located in blocks of flats in Bournemouth.
The first example has no inner door, and probably dates from the 1960s. The lift does not travel to the top floor - the space there is taken up with the motor.
Recorded in January 2014 shortly before this lift was replaced with a new one.
The second example is one of a pair, and are original to the building. As with many lifts, the control panel is a modern replacement.
These are exceptionally slow. Each lift is very small - yet the space for the two tiny lifts could have been used for a single much larger one, which would have made moving furniture and similar items far easier.
These are the only lifts in this 9 floor building (Ground + 8 floors above).
